Stranraer is probably most well known as Dumfries and Galloway’s busy ferry port and considering its’ proximity to Ireland, it provides a pleasant stopping place for ongoing journey’s. The town is surrounded by the Southern Upland Way and the impressive public gardens of Castle Kennedy, Glenwhan and Logan.

Families will love Agnew Park with its pedal boats, train rides, adventure playground and crazy golf. If the weather isn’t up to much, there is the Ryan leisure centre with swimming pool and theatre where you can relax and catch a film or show.
