Baytree House is a beautiful pastel-coloured Georgian town house set in the heart of the historic High St, Kirkcudbright. Although, close to the town's amenities and attractions, the High Street is no longer the town's main thoroughfare so is relatively quiet as compared to St Cuthbert's Street and St. Mary's Street which house most of the town's independent shops.

The front door of the house is similar to that of No.10 Downing Street, home of the British Prime Minister. It has a large front door with fanlight over, flanked by two grecian pillars. The differences being that Baytree House front door is painted a sunny yellow instead of black and doesn't have railings, and of course, it's number is 110! The house interior is elegant and spacious, typical of Regency architectural design, with high ceilings, huge sash windows, elaborate fire places and sweeping stairway with a delicately fashioned wrought iron bannister.

All rooms are spacious with ensuite shower or bath/shower and have free Wi-fi access, flat-screen TV with integral DVD player, hairdryer, Ironing equipment, tea/coffee making facilities and a welcome sherry. Guests also have use of the pretty walled garden and the elegant drawing room, where Satellite TV, DVD's books and CD's are available for entertainment and glasses are provided should guests wish to bring their own beverages. Free Wi-Fi access is also available in this room and a loan of a laptop computer can be arranged.

For those that prefer the privacy and independance of self-contained and self-catering accommodation, the Garden Studio is located to the rear of Baytree House with its own private entrance and is let on a self-catering basis. It offers comfortable, compact and secluded accommodation with a double bed. It is equipped with ensuite shower room, kitchenette and lounge area. There is a flat-screen TV with integral DVD player and a selection of DVD's, a CD player with a selection of CD's, and everything you'll require to have an enjoyable stay.

A feature of the garden studio is its own private conservatory overlooking a private and secluded garden and patio area with BBQ. All power, heat, fresh towels, linen, tea towels, toiletries etc. are included in the rate. Breakfast is also available at Baytree House by arrangement.

The beautiful Georgian property and Garden Studio is conveniently situated for all local amentities and attractions, including pubs and restaurants. the Tolbooth Art Centre, The Stewartry Museum, Maclellan's Castle, and the harbour and marina, swimming pool, all within a very short walking distance. The town of Kirkcudbright (pronounced 'Kirk-coo-bree') is nestled amongst the spectacular Galloway hills, with its many forests and lochs, on the banks of the River Dee estuary as it flows into the Irish Sea.
